This collection began with a return to the drawing board — back to where our very first collection started five years ago. This time I wanted more classic silhouettes: the pointed hem on the waistcoat, now with a contrast button placket. The trouser kept its cropped length, but I widened the leg.
One of my design principles is to make clothes for real bodies — bodies that change through the year, and through the years. Clothes with some room to change with us are something we should all be asking for more often. So the trousers have a half-elasticated waist for comfort, while the pleat and cut keep them a notch above loungewear.
I wanted easy, everyday pieces that felt slightly elsewhere.
The collage print was a labour of love — redesigned at the last minute before landing here. It's built from textures and images gathered on my trips to California, from LA down to Big Sur. Sometimes I crave prints and patchwork that tap into my surrealist side while staying genuinely wearable. This one is that.
The collection is made in London. I visited the factory last year and spent time getting to know their process — there's something special about having clothes made locally, and it lets me stand behind the quality and the way they're made. The fabrics and buttons are 100% natural materials: linen, and corozo buttons dyed to match.
